Lecture slides
Below are powerpoint lecture slides for my undergraduate course in atmospheric chemistry and for my graduate course section on atmospheric chemistry modeling. The undergraduate course is supported by my Introduction to Atmospheric Chemistry textbook. The modeling lectures are supported by my Modeling of Atmospheric Chemistry textbook. Many of the slides have animations so you should download the files and view them in slide show mode.
Lecture slides for Introduction to Atmospheric Chemistry
The slides follow the 2nd edition of my Introduction to Atmospheric Chemistry textbook, and are a useful complement to the book.
- Chapter 1: Measures of atmospheric composition
- Chapter 2: Atmospheric pressure
- Chapter 3: Simple models
- Chapter 4: Atmospheric transport
- Chapter 5: Global geochemical cycles
- Chapter 6: Chemical forcing of climate change
- Chapter 7: Review of chemical kinetics
- Chapter 8: Stratospheric chemistry
- Chapter 9: Tropospheric oxidant chemistry
- Chapter 10: Aerosol chemistry
- Chapter 11: Mercury
Letcture slides for Modeling of Atmospheric Chemistry
These slides cover a (small) part of my Modeling of Atmospheric Chemistry textbook with Guy Brasseur.
